Marie-Eve Chainey’s university studies have been filled with false starts, missed classes and deferred exams, all because of a rare blood disorder that caused her kidneys to completely shut down.  But after eight years of dogged work, patience and willpower, the 30 year old is finally receiving her bachelor’s in nursing this year.
